Creating efficiency in accounting is not always about working faster. Efficiency can be created in accounting when transactions are coded correctly at the beginning of the workflow to avoid fixing mistakes in later stages. QuickBooks Online has several built-in automation features that may be new to you. My favorite built-in automation feature in QuickBooks Online is the bank and credit card account connector. When you connect your bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online, you can feel more confident that the transaction information (vendor, customer, date, amounts) are correct. Rules can be set up for recurring transactions; however, all transactions still need to be verified to ensure income and expense account coding are correct. All of this automation helps decrease time spent searching for missing transactions when reconciling your bank and credit accounts. Contact me to discuss how I can help create efficiencies in your accounting system.
